Das Ich have made contact.

Today Monday afternoon we got a mail from Das Ich frontman Bruno Kramm. They are alive. They promise to get back to us soon with info on what has happened that made them cancel Sunset Park Festival. We will post news as soon as we have any further information from Das Ich regarding this matter.

We have been promised further information from Das Ich since Monday. We have tried to reach them for further information but we have had no success. We are sorry for this and we will post news when we have any further information.

Das Ich Missing?

As most of you know by now, Das Ich never showed up in Umeå to perform at Sunset Park Festival. At the point of writing this we have no information whatsoever why. According to Danse Macabre (the label of Das Ich) the band left Germany for Sweden on Friday  (august 26). Since then neither we nor Danse Macabre (according to their representatives on Monday august 29) know anything about the status of, the whereabouts of or anything regarding what has happened with Das Ich.

We have tried all possible ways of communication to reach Das Ich and their party, without any success.

We are of course confused and confounded about what has happened. Local media has reported “Das Ich missing” and on the web lots of people have commented on this.

To avoid any rumors regarding this matter Sunset Park (and organising part KF Kretsen) hereby state this officially so that there will be no questions about what we do know or not know:

As soon as we get any valid information about what has happened we will post an update. Stay tuned.

Nu är årets Sunset Park program klart!
Vi välkomnar som slutliga bokningar: trubaduren Den Akustiske Alkemisten, finska Rest In Silence och konstnär Erik Torstensson.

Red Butt Closeup gör unik återförening!

Nu är det helt klart! I samarbete med Club Greyscale och Monochrome är det nu helt klart att legendariska synthbandet Red Butt Closeup kommer att göra ett framträdande (med originalmedlemmarna) under Sunset Parks första kväll: 26 augusti i Studion, Umeå Folkets Hus !!

I dag (2 augusti) släpps en mängd artister och medverkande till årets Sunset Park festival. Vi har nöjet att presentera det största utbudet deltagare i festivalens historia!

Film: 2 x Norrländsk Science Fiction, vi visar filmerna “No Law 4000″ och “Kunskapens Pris”

Dans: Morganas Döttrar återvänder och som festivalens prästinnor kommer dom att leda besökaren genom festivalen under lördagkvällen.

Föreläsning: Vi har det stora nöjet att presentera Martin Ericsson, som kommer föreläsa kring begreppet Deltagarkultur.

Konst: Årets konstutställning får gäster från bland annat Östersund när Glenn Edberg gästar Sunset med sin Lovecraft och Clive Barker- inspirerade konst. Deltar gör även glaskonstnären Denise Mångsén och designer Steampunkers

The Black Market: är tillbaks, fynda bland lump och skatt!

Mode: Ännu en designer kommer bjuda på modevisning på Sunset Park, Göteborgs-baserade Machine Ain’t Dead Design.

Nu är det klart att Stockholmsbaserade darkwave/electro-bandet Waves Under Water är klara för Sunset Park festivalen. Dom framträder lördag 27 augusti i Döbelns Park.
